You must be 14 years and 9 months to take driver ed. All students enrolled in driver education must present a TIP on the first day of class. You can obtain your TIP at the OMV. If you do not have a TIP, then you are ineligible to participate in class.

Behind-the-Wheel

Teen Classroom + Behind-the-Wheel
- 30-Hours of Classroom
Taught in four 8-hour days from 8 AM to 4 PM. The classroom consists of textbook, lectures, videos, and guest speakers. We use a textbook and the LA Class E Driving Manual. - State Written Test
The test is taken at the end of the day. All students must pass with a minimum of 80%. An option to retest after driving is possible. - 8-Hours of Private Behind-the-Wheel Driving Instruction

You are required to obtain a Temporary Instruction Permit (TIP) prior to the first day of class. All teen classes require attendance at a parent meeting prior to the start of the course. Parent meetings will be held via zoom. This class is for students 14 and 9 months old- 17 years old.

Advanced Driving Sklls
Advanced Driving Skils is for students with a learner's permit or intermediate license who require extra practice with complex skills. This course will focus on new traffic features (roundabouts, complex intersections, urban driving), interstate driving, and night driving.
